Stormy Weather
This was what Katie and I saw on our walk home from work yesterday…
Looks like a storm’s a-comin’…
Yup. That’s definitely a storm.
The kind of storm that makes you stop dead in the middle of the road and stare in awe…
The kind of storm that makes you whip out your camera and start taking picture after picture…
The kind of storm that leaves you nearly speechless…
The kind of storm that suddenly reminds that your metal water bottle would make an excellent lightning conductor…
So long, storm! We’ll be appreciating your majesty from the indoors now.

Geez, your walk home looks interesting. Are the roads THAT good all over?
It can definitely be an interesting commute since the weather can change from searing hot to sticky humid to torrential downpour in a matter of minutes. We’re staying on the outskirts of town, and the 1.5 miles of road between work and home base is pretty rocky and has a ton of potholes that we manage to get ourselves muddy in almost every day. But the streets in town are pretty good…
Your commute looks wonderful–I’ll take it anyday over mine! Sounds like you are having a great time! Keep up the photos, I’m digging the scenery and wildlife (ps. one can never get enough monkey shots). Can’t wait to hear about Nicaragua!
Haha, the commute it fun until a huge storm comes through and makes the road so muddy that it sucks your flip-flops off your feet. And I’ll be sure to include additional monkey shots for your viewing pleasure as soon as I see more of ’em. Those suckers do not seem to be huge fans of paparazzi…
